Tahla is a small town situated near the middle Atlas at 64 kms to the south - east of Fès. “Afrioune Association for development and culture” is organizing a workcamp with the collaboration of Taza delegation of Ministry of national education.
0 Number of volunteers: 20
0 Nature of the work: The work consists of a gardening and cleaning in a primary school. The duration of work is 5 hours a day.
0 Lodging: The volunteers will be staying at “Oued Edahab” school – Tahla
0 Meals: will be prepared by volunteers.
0 Activities: You will also have to bring with you working clothes, a sleeping bag, and anything which could contribute to the good progress of the workcamp (game sets, musical instruments, cooking recipe, etc….). This will give you an interesting opportunity to discover cultural reality and habits of the local population.
0 Meeting point: The first meeting will be at the Grand Taxi station at the center of Tahla city.
0 The workcamp will be financed by the volunteers themselves. The association has started a donation compaign to collect money for the school project. We welcome any kind of financial support.

From Casablanca Mohammed V airport : From Casablanca Mohammed V airport, take the train to Casablanca voyageurs railway, from the Casa voyageurs train station take another train to Fes city, there in Fes take Red Taxi to “Bab Ftouh” Grand Taxi station, from there take a Grand Taxi (white Mercedes Taxi) to Tahla , You need to wait until the taxi is full with 6 passengers.

Program of the Day:
The work will be carried for 5 hours every day except weekends. The program of the day will be similar to this:
08h00: Breakfast.
08h30: Volunteers joining the site.
11h00: Tea break.
13h00: End of work.
14h00: Lunch.
16h30: Parallel activity / free time.
21h00: Dinner.
21h30: Evenings animated by volunteers.
00h00: To bed (pardon to your sleeping bags because there will be no beds ;-).
Note: The program is of course flexible according to the volunteers' suggestions.
On weekends, volunteers will have 1-the chance to meet up with the locals (accommodation and hospitality by a local family for one night), 2 - the opportunity to come close to the local culture (attending Moroccan traditional weddings) and 3 - the occasion to discover the natural beauty of the Middle Atlas (hiking in the mountains will be organized).
